ANXIETY ISLAND

Anxiety Island is a virtual reality experience exploring the intersection of gaming, VR-therapy (VRET) and design. The result is a proposal for a more engaging way of treating phobias and anxieties that can be utilised on readily available head-sets. This opens up potential for self-help treatment and therapist-led home sessions.

In collaboration with Peter Hill from the Digital Anthropology Lab of the London College of Fashion.

Developed for the Footnotes exhibition. Footnotes is a series of installations by artists, drawing inspiration from London College of Fashion’s (UAL) shoe archive. Their work will reflect viewers’ histories and experiences of footwear, including themes of Balance and Fragility. Supported by Arts Council England and Kurt Geiger.
